All teachers in the Fitzgerald District use a program called Power School to take daily attendance and record grades. Fitzgerald Public Schools has a set grading scale all teachers use. Teachers also have individual grading policies in their classrooms based on the classes they teach, you will find mine below. In each class, assessments are counted as 60% of a student's grade and the coursework is the remaining 40%.
As a parent, you are able to log into the Parent Portal and check your child's grades and attendance. If you click on the report card picture on the left, it will take you right to the Fitzgerald Public Schools website. On the top of the Fitzgerald Public Schools home page you will find a yellow bar containing a variety of drop down menus. Click on the "Parents & Community" tab and scroll down and click on "Power School." If it is your first time logging on, a page will come up asking you to click the word "Agree" and to select a language from a drop down menu. You will then be asked to put in a Username and Password. Letters are sent home at the beginning of the school year or given out during Parent/Teacher Conferences that contain the necessary information. If you have any questions or problems, contact Monica Baker at 586-757-6650 for Chatterton student Usernames and Passwords.
Logging into Power School Parent/Student Portal is an excellent way to help your child be successful and to get the actual answer to the question "Do you have any homework or missing work?" Attendance can also be checked at the same time.
Mrs. Exline's Classroom Grading Policies:
* Work will be accepted 1 week late, minus one grade for being late.

* Work should be done in pencil or pen only.
* Extra credit work is not given.
* Extra time is given, depending on the length of an absence, to complete missing work/quiz/test without a
