Check out my new 2021 project blog/website.. MakeBakeCookCreate.weebly.com
Dear Former Students,
If you're visiting this website you probably haven't roamed the Chatterton halls for quite some time and you're wondering if certain teachers are still teaching there. Am I right? Well, either way, I'm glad you stopped by to check out my website!
I retired from Chatterton Middle School in June of 2019 after teaching there for 27 years. Being a Fitzgerald Public Schools K-12 student myself, it was always special to me to teach in the district and in the school that I attended. As much as I enjoyed teaching science, cooking, astronomy, and the many other courses, I felt like it was just my time to go and spend more time with my husband, family and friends. I planned on doing some traveling, but in July of 2019 I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and in September of that same year I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. Not exactly how I wanted to start out my retirement, but I am happy to say that the cancer is in remission and I am doing well and getting stronger each day. In fact, my hair is growing back curly after losing it from the chemotherapy treatments. I'm waiting to see if it stays curly as it gets longer or if curly hair will be my new normal.
I still plan to do some traveling once the Coronavirus is under control, and my first big trip will be to Egypt to see the Great Pyramids. When I was younger, I always wanted to be an Egyptologist, so traveling there will be a dream come true. And I will be sure to share pictures on this website when I do.
You will find all my contact information on the "Contact Me" page of this website, as well as a contact form that you can simply complete and submit right away. I don't check my email as often as I used to, but I promise to send a reply when I receive your message. It has been wonderful hearing from former students sharing what they have been doing since leaving Chatterton. I can't begin to tell you how much joy it brings to my day to hear all the great things my former students have accomplished!
I look forward to hearing from you! Sending you big hugs!
Mrs. Exline
